Of course Santa speaks Cantonese. Here he's adorning a restaurant somewhere in our neighborhood, wishing everyone "Seng Dan Fai Lok," or "Merry Christmas."I learned how to say this from one of my building concierges. She laughed loud and long the first time I tried to say hello to her in Cantonese, but since then she's been absolutely wonderful in teaching me new phrases.
